We had a blast at the third annual Sledgehammer. Thanks to all our generous sponsors and marathoning writers!
We now have sixteen enticing stories to read and judge. Winners will be announced the week of October 4, and then they’ll read at Wordstock in Portland on October 9.
In the meantime, be sure to join us for the reading this Tuesday, September 14. Contestants will read/act/play videos of five-minute excerpts from their stories. It’ll be great fun, and you’ll get to vote on your favorites for the Readers’ Choice Award. 7 p.m., Blackbird Wine & Atomic Cheese, 4323 NE Fremont St., Portland.

Some of our many prizes donated by local businesses for the lucky Sledgehammer winners.

The Vantucky Derby team finishes up their story in the thirty-fifth hour. Their battery died immediately upon saving their story.
